DERRY - Roland E. Mondor, 86, passed away on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014.Roland was born in Ware, Mass., on Sept. 15, 1927, son of Joseph and Valida (Marie) Mondor. Roland grew up in Ware, Mass., where he met his wife of 60 years, Vivian (Daoust) Mondor. Roland resided in Spencer, Mass., before relocating to Atkinson in 1972. After a long career at Hudson Shoe Machinery, spanning more than 35 years, Roland retired in 1992 and enjoyed life in New Hampshire and traveling to Florida during the cold winter months. Roland relocated to Derry in 2008.Roland was a car enthusiast and enjoyed being with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Roland enjoyed Big Band music and the Red Sox. Roland was an active member of St. Anne's Parish in Hampstead for many years.Roland was predeceased by a son, Mark Mondor. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Vivian Mondor, and five children, Steven Mondor and his wife, Maureen, of Hyannis, Mass., Anne Gregoire and her husband, Francis, of Hooksett, Francis Mondor of Atkinson, Kenneth Mondor of Merrimack and Roger Mondor and his wife, Tammy, of Amherst; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

SERVICES: A calling hour will held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 7, in the J. Henri Morin & Son Funeral Home, 23 Maple Terrace, Spencer, Mass. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer, Mass., on Thursday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer, Mass.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Hospice Services, Visiting Nurse Association of Manchester and Southern N.H., 1070 Holt Ave., Suite 1400, Manchester 03109.Arrangements are being handled by J.
