NASHUA - Lucille Kozlowski, 88, a longtime resident of Nashua, died at The Arbors in Bedford, on Aug. 4, 2014, with her family at her side.She was born on Feb. 22, 1926, in Nashua, a daughter of the late Augustine and Anna Kozlowski. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her two sisters, Agnes Juonis, Bernice Goudreau; her brother, Stanley Kozlowski; and a niece, Patty Goudreau.Lucille began a long career in law in 1943 as a legal secretary with attorney Leonard G. Velishka before receiving her associate degree from Northeastern University in 1954. She received her LL.B. from Boston College Law School in 1958 and was admitted to practice in New Hampshire on Sept. 3, 1958. Lucille was the 29th woman admitted to practice law in New Hampshire. She partnered with attorney Velishka in 1958 and remained a general partner until 1976. Thereafter, she established a partnership with attorney Roger Gauthier, and later attorney Robert Parodi. In 1989, attorney Kozlowski became a sole practitioner in Nashua.Lucille was always very active and willing to share her knowledge with patience and guidance to all those in need. She was so loved by all and has left us a legacy of love.She was very close to her nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed by Douglas Juonis, Dennis and Laura Juonis, Kathy and William Picarillo, William Goudreau and Chrissy Emerson. She will also be missed by her best friend, Mel Lapin, who was her fellow traveler and sidekick. She also leaves many grandnieces and grandnephews.Her family also wishes express its appreciation and thanks to all her caregivers at The Arbors who continually went above and beyond in care for the past several years.


SERVICES: Her family will receive friends at St. Louis Parish, 48 W. Hollis St., Nashua, on Tuesday beginning at 10 until 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Louis Parish on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment prayers and burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Nashua, 47 Grand Ave., Nashua 03060 or the , 5 Bedford Farms Drive, No. 201, Bedford 03110.The Davis Funeral Home, One Lock St., Nashua, has been placed in charge of arrangements.
