MANCHESTER - Janice C. McNamara, 75, of Manchester, died Aug. 1, 2014 at Hanover Hill Health Care Center after a long illness.She was born in Claremont on April 7, 1939 to George R. and Alice R. (Andrews) McNamara. She grew up in Claremont and lived in Manchester for many years. She attended Burbank Hospital School of Nursing in Massachusetts.Janice was restaurant manager at Pappy's Pizza in Manchester for many years. Prior to that she was co-owner of Pizza by Charles in Manchester and had worked at Highway Hotel in Concord and the China Dragon in Hooksett.She had volunteered with the Salvation Army and enjoyed cooking, singing and ice skating.She was predeceased by a sister, Marilyn McNamara Porter.The family includes three children, Marion Fitanides Carlson of North Hampton, Nicholas Fitanides of Ashburn, Va., and Dennis Fitanides and his wife, Tina, of Ashland, Mass.; four grandchildren, Colin Carlson, Kelly Carlson, Cal Fitanides and Alex Fitanides; two brothers, Gerald McNamara and his wife, Terry, of Sun City, Ariz., and Arnold McNamara and his wife, Nancy, of Mason; and other extended family members.
