PETERBOROUGH -- Paul Victor Donovan, 77, died July 4, 2009, at Pheasantwood Nursing Home.
Mr. Donovan was born in Cohasset, Mass., on June 6,1932, the son of Christine and Paul V. Donovan Sr. He moved to Peterborough from Brockton, Mass., and was a 1950 graduate of Peterborough High School.
He served with the U.S. Air Force in Korea. He worked as a printer for the Boston Globe for 28 years, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed woodworking and providing photography for the newsletter for class reunions.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jeanie.
The family includes two sons, Matthew Donovan of Fairfax Station, Va., and Christopher Donovan of Summit, N.J.; four daughters, Danette Alexander of Enfield, Conn., Andrea Donovan of Claremont, Patricia Donovan of Greenfield and Jaime Kennedy of Hancock; a sister, Ruth Hart, of Omaha, Neb.; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
SERVICES: Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Jellison Funeral Home, 25 Concord Street, Peterborough.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Peter Church of Divine Mercy Parish, Peterborough. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, High Street.
