TUFTONBORO -- Frederick M. Buesser, 56, of Sodom Road, died May 31, 2010, at Huggins Hospital, Wolfeboro, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born April 24, 1954, in Boston, to Frederick W. and Beatrice (Rennell) Buesser. He was raised in Bethlehem, Conn., and graduated from Nonnewwaug High School in Woodbury, Conn. and Boston University.

He served in the U.S. Navy as a pilot during Desert Storm and retired with the rank of captain. He earned several awards and commendations.

He loved the outdoors and was an avid fly fisherman. He was employed as a pilot with FedEx for the past 16 years and also served on the ALPA Union Committee.

Family members, in addition to his father of Forest City, N.C., include his wife, Lisa (Plant) Buesser of Tuftonboro; his children, Collin Buesser, Katherine Buesser and Ryan Buesser, all of Wolfeboro and Kylie Buesser of Tuftonboro; his stepmother, Ruth Ann Buesser of Forest City, N.C.; two brothers, Arthur Buesser of Port Kent, N.Y. and Carl Buesser of Waterbury, Conn.; a sister, Florence Warner of Fair Hope, Ala; and nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lord Funeral Home, 23 Club Lane, Wolfeboro. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, South Main Street, Wolfeboro. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
