RAYMOND -- James R. Stratz Jr., 52, died Oct. 25, 2010, after a lengthy illness.
He was born Jan. 17, 1958, in Allenstown, Pa., and grew up in Vermont. Formerly of Nottingham, he resided in Raymond for 23 years, where he volunteered as a baseball, softball and soccer coach for the Raymond Youth Athletic Association. He loved the game of baseball and was an avid Red Sox fan. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Epping and was a member of the Knights of Columbus for more than 20 years.
Family members include his wife, Pamela E. (Hunt) Stratz; daughter, Jessica E. Stratz; two sons, James R. Stratz III and Benjamin J. Stratz; his parents, James R. Stratz Sr. and Joan (Shirock) Stratz, of Nottingham; and several nieces and nephews.
IN HIS LIFE: He is survived by two brothers, David Stratz of Nottingham, and Andrew and his wife, Natalie Stratz, of Hampton; and was predeceased by his brother, Michael Stratz.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brewitt Funeral Home, 2 Epping St., Raymond. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church on 208 Pleasant St. in Epping.
