MANCHESTER - Mary V. Keane, 103, formerly of Manchester and Rockledge, Fla., died Oct. 2, 2012, at the home of her niece, surrounded by her loving family, after a period of failing health.

Born in Manchester on May 10, 1909, she was the daughter of John and Ellen (Connor) Walsh. An orphan at age 8, Mary was raised by John and Helen (McCormick) Connor.
Mrs. Keane was educated in Manchester schools. She resided in the Queen City most of her life before moving to Rockledge, Fla., 32 years ago.
Mrs. Keane was a loving and devoted wife and sister. She enjoyed spending summers at the family home on Harvey Lake in Northwood. She especially cherished time spent with family and friends. She will be remembered for her Irish wit as well as her kind and selfless ways.
Mrs. Keane was married to Jeremiah Keane, who died in 1978. She was also predeceased by two brothers, James Walsh and John S. Walsh and a sister, Julia Gleason.
Family members include two nieces, Maryellen Houle and her husband, Richard of Manchester and Judith Walsh Heminger and her husband, Scott of Ogunquit, Maine; a nephew, Philip Gleason of Bedford; several grandnieces and grandnephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union St., corner of Concord Street, Manchester.
The funeral will be held Saturday with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Saint Elizabeth Seton Church, Bedford.
Burial will take place in the Saint Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Southern Maine, 180 US Rout 1, Scarborough, Maine 04074.
