MANCHESTER - Marie L. (Welch) Martel, 59, of Manchester, went to God on Nov. 5, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Manchester on April 14, 1953, she was the daughter of Leo and Dora (Labore) Daneault. She was a lifelong resident of the Queen City.
She graduated from Saint Marie High School, Class of 1971.
Marie was an executive assistant at Lamont Hanley & Associates for many years. She was a communicant of Saint Catherine of Siena Church.
A loving and devoted wife, mother and daughter, her family was the true inspiration of her life. Marie will be remembered for her selfless way, sense of humor and warm smile. She enjoyed time at the beach, cooking and spending holidays with family and friends.
In addition to her mother of Manchester, family members include her husband of 10 years, David P. Martel of Manchester; two daughters, Amy L. Nelson and her husband, Brian, of Portsmouth, and Meegan L. Welch of Virginia Beach, Va.; her son, Kyle G. Welch of San Francisco; two stepchildren, Erik and Melissa Martel, both of Bedford; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
services: Calling hours are Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union St., corner of Concord Street, Manchester.The funeral will be held Monday followed by a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Catherine of Siena Church, Webster Street, Manchester.
