NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Francis Richard McGranaghan, 83 of Nashville went to be with the Lord on Nov. 4, 2012, after a brief illness.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joan Ann McGranaghan; six children, Mark (Geraldine), Michael (Mary Lee), Anne-Marie (John), Lisa Miller (Christopher), Sean (Kellie), and Francis (Jennifer). He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Flora McGranaghan, and sister Lucille Cawley, and survived by siblings, Charles, James, and Ann, numerous grandchildren and extended family.
Frank originally resided in Manchester, N.H. He was a graduate of Saint Anselm College and received his doctoral degree from the University of Delaware. Research chemistry was his career. An active member of St. Matthew Parish, Frank was a devoted husband and loving father who will be remembered fondly for his selfless life, generous spirit and love for the Lord. Services were held in Nashville on Nov. 9.
