BRENTWOOD - Nellie B. Swasey, 99, of Brentwood, died Nov. 13, 2012, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, after a long illness.

She was born on Aug. 14, 1913, in Newton, the daughter of the late Henry L. and Celia H. Burbeck, and was a longtime resident of Brentwood. She was a graduate of Sanborn Seminary, in Kingston, as a member of the Class of 1931.
Prior to her marriage in 1937, she was self-employed as a hairdresser. She was a 4-H leader, a member of the Keenebourgh Grange of Brentwood and the Brentwood Seniors.
She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Joseph C. Swasey of Brentwood and daughters, Brenda S. Flanders and husband, Frank of Brentwood, Barbara Swasey-Keir and husband, Robert of Brentwood; granddaughters, Debra (Flanders) Springfield and husband, Robert of South Berwick, Maine, Kari R. Flores and husband, Victor of Milford and Kristen R. Harkness of Mansfield, Mass.; great-grandchildren Anna, Lauren and Nathan Springfield, Stefan Flores and Ethan and Lindsey Harkness.
She was predeceased by a twin, Florence (at birth) and sisters Phyllis and Margaret.
SERVICES: Due to her wishes, there are no visiting hours.
A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at the family cemetery in Brentwood.
