MANCHESTER - Elizabeth M. Gagnon, 83, of Manchester, died Nov. 17, 2012, at Concord Regional Hospice House.

Mrs. Gagnon was born in Keene, May 29, 1929, the daughter of H. Laurent and Elizabeth (Hebert) Trask. She attended local schools and graduated from St Joseph High School.
She retired from the Elliot Hospital where she worked for more than 25 years as a medical transcriptionist in the radiology department.
She was a member of the American Association of Medical Transcription. She received many awards from the Order of Gregg Artists for her excellence and speed in Gregg shorthand and typewriting in 1947.
She was loved by all who knew her for her quick wit and sarcasm. She held a special place in her heart for her four boys and their families.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth Foster and her second husband, Norman H. Gagnon.
Members of her family include her four sons: K. David Foster of Manchester, Norman J. Gagnon Sr. of Manchester, Richard P. Gagnon of Alamogordo, N.M., Mark D. Gagnon of Newfields; 12 grandchildren; three sisters: Esther Cashin of Manchester, Laura Blevins of Goffstown, Mary Hayes of Manchester, many nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours are today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Durning, Bykowsi & Young Funeral Home, 285 Manchester St., corner of Beech St.
A funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
