DOVER - N. Elaine Laughton Roux passed away peacefully at Rockingham County Nursing Home after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013.

She was born in Dover, on April 23, 1926, the daughter of Harry C. Wallace and Mildred (Norton Wallace) Kimball.
She lived in Dover the majority of her life. Elaine was an amazing woman - raising four children as a single mom. She was an avid gardener, an incredible baker and could sew with the expertise of a tailor. She and her husband, Tom, were renowned for their pool parties for their large family and friends. The food and the fun were unforgettable.
She is survived by her son, David Laughton of Auburn, and his wife, Marcia; her daughter, Sandy MacNamara of Hampton, and her husband, Jack; Her grandchildren, Michelle Letourneau, Stacie Haley, Kevin Sylvain, Tracey Rittgers, Cristy Laughton, and Dennis Poole; and her eight great-grandchildren; She is also survived by her stepchildren and step-grandchildren of the Roux family.
Elaine was predeceased by her son, Paul; her daughter, Becky; her husband, Tom Roux; and her son-in-law, Lee Sylvain.

Friends and family may call from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, at the Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave., Dover. There will be a service at the funeral home at 4 p.m. with Pastor Ruth Gallot of Longmeadow Congregational Church, officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
