MANCHESTER - Marcel A. ?Lafrance, 79, of Manchester, passed away on Feb. 24, 2013, at the Bedford Hills Rehabilitation and Care Center in Bedford.

Marcel was born March 12, 1933, in Sanford, Maine, to Jeannette and Armand Lafrance.

He was a graduate of Sanford High School. He was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Navy. During the Korean War, he was on active duty for four years in the western Pacific aboard the USS Pittsburgh and served four more years in the Naval Reserve. He worked for 38 years for the U.S. Treasury Department.

He is survived by six children; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Marcel was a loyal friend of Bill for 21 years.


SERVICES: An interment ceremony with military honors will be held Friday, March 8, at noon at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetary, Boscawen.
