MANCHESTER - Albert F. Wheeler, 62, of Manchester died March 28, 2013, at Catholic Medical Center after a sudden illness. A lifelong resident of Manchester, he was born here on July 4, 1950, the son of the late Bernard and Gertrude (Frost) Wheeler.

He was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Central High School. Al had been employed in the mail department of AIG and for the past 16 years as a courier for Citizens Bank.
He loved baseball and was a fan of the Red Sox. Al was a former farm team coach at South Little League. He was an avid candlepin bowler and along with his wife, enjoyed traveling including several trips to Branson, Mo., and Disney World.
Family members include his wife of 40 years, Susan (Jolicoeur) Wheeler of Manchester; a brother, Bill Wheeler of Manchester; an uncle and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
SERVICES: A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 3, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St., corner of Beech Street. A funeral ceremony will follow in the funeral home.
