PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Virginia Markley Wyman of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013.

Born on March 3, 1919, in Hartford, Conn., she was the daughter of Raymond and Gladys Bryant Markley. Mrs. Wyman was preceded in death by her husband, former N.H. Attorney General, Congressman and Superior Court Justice Louis Crosby Wyman.

She is survived by a daughter, Jo Ann Wyman Coughlin and her husband, J. Barry, of Melvin Village, N.H.; and son, Louis Eliot "Ron" Wyman II of Cambridge, Mass.; as well as her grandchildren, Christine and Robert Coughlin; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Wyman resided for over 50 years in Manchester, N.H., and Washington, D.C., while her husband represented the First District of New Hampshire in U.S. Congress. Mrs. Wyman was active in the Manchester community, where she served on the board of the Easter Seals Society and was a longtime volunteer at Elliot Hospital. She served as a delegate to the 1976 Republican National Convention and was an early and active supporter of President Ronald Regan in the 1980 New Hampshire Primary. Mrs. Wyman was also active in the Congressional Wives Club during her years in Washington.
