LITCHFIELD - Harry R. Everett Sr., 74, of Litchfield, died peacefully on Wednesday, July, 10, 2013, of cancer at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on May 28, 1939, in New Hope, Pa. He was the youngest of 11 children to the late Walter and Thelma (Lear) Everett. He attended New Hope-Solebury High School before serving in the U.S. Navy as an airman and plane captain on P-2V Neptunes. He retired as foreman of toll equipment for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority.
Harry was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed shooting darts, playing on many dart leagues in the greater Nashua area. He was a member of the VFW Hudson Memorial Post 5791 Men's Auxiliary, Club National and Lafayette Club.
Members of his family include his beloved wife of 28 years, Janet (Wiencek) Everett of Litchfield; three sons, Harry Everett Jr. and his wife, Robin, of Hudson, Kenneth Everett and his partner, Patrick Miller, of San Francisco; and Robert Everett of Hudson; four daughters, Kimberly Tourigny and her husband, Raymond of Nashua; Joyce Everett and her partner, Kathryn Danz of Santa Rosa, Calif.; Corinna Trauger of Summerville, S.C.; and Valerie Labbe and her husband, Donald of Londonderry; three sisters, Norma Case and her husband, Bart of Lambertville, N.J.; Thelma Kintzel of Rosemont, N.J.; Betty Connery and her husband, Roland of Summerton, S.C.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many, many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by a son, Francis Everett.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 14, from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 9 St. Francis Way, Litchfield.
