WEARE - Joseph Eugene Edgar Bilodeau 77, died Sept. 24, 2013, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Nashua he had been a resident of Weare for the past 25 years. He was the son of Edgar and Germaine (Tessier) Bilodeau.
Mr. Bilodeau was an active member of the Weare community, serving as finance officer for the town. He was a member of Weare Historical Society and the Philbrick - Clement American Legion Post No. 65 where he served as past-commander. Mr. Bilodeau received the 2013 Hometown Hero Award from the town of Weare for his outstanding contributions to the community. Gene had been employed for 42 years with Concord Litho Co.
Members of his family include his wife Beverly M. Bilodeau of Weare; four children Brian (Janice) Bilodeau of Edmond, Okla., Carole (Francis) Grimard of Exeter, Kevin (Megan) Bilodeau of Manchester and Gail (Daniel) Auger of Hopkington; two stepsons Bradley (Susan) Nichols and Brian (Sandi) Nichols; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers Raymond (Marie ) Bilodeau and Mark (Sally) Bussiere of Franklin.
SERVICES: Visitation will be held Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at French and Rising Funeral Home, 17 South Mast St., Goffstown. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Weare Food Pantry or Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Program, 30 Pillsbury St. Concord, 03301.
