Paul Lacroix Obituary

MERRIMACK - Paul Raymond Lacroix, 61, of Merrimack, died Sept. 17, 2014, after suffering a severe stroke.He was born in Manchester on Dec. 16, 1952. He was the son of Roger and Rita (Groulx) Lacroix. He attended Central High School in Manchester before joining the U.S. Navy. He served as a Reactor Operator on the nuclear submarine, the USS Cavalla from 1971-1977. He attended the University of Lowell, then worked in software engineering at Wang, FTP Software, and Response Network for much of his career. Most recently, he had worked in IT at Nashua Public Library since 2006.Paul was a member of Knights of Columbus and the League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Nashua Soup Kitchen, Red Cross blood drives, and Sunday brunch at Our Lady of Mercy.He loved to help family and friends, especially with computers. If there was a problem, he was inspired to fix it. He also loved studying genealogy, making puzzles, playing board games with family and attending parties and sports events for his grandchildren. His favorite vacations were near the ocean or lakes of New England and visiting his son in Colorado.In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Donald Lacroix.Family members include his wife of 42 years, Louise (Dery) Lacroix; daughters Camille Lacroix-Moulton and her husband Robert, Nicole Roscioli and her husband Dan, Rachel Lacroix and her companion Eric Nelson; son, Daniel Lacroix and his companion Karey Sarlo; grandchildren Gabriel and Hannah Moulton, Natalia, Brenton and Thatcher Roscioli; siblings Janet Andrus and her husband Clay, Elaine Buleigh, Linda Doherty and her husband Ed, Claudette Billodeau, Teresa Gladu and her husband Gary, Jaqueline Grant and her husband Jim, and Leonard Lacroix and his wife Jennifer; as well as many nieces, nephews, godchildren and cousins.

SERVICES: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mercy, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, on Saturday Sept. 20 at 10:30 a.m. U.S. Navy Military Honors will be held at the Veteran's Memorial in Last Rest Cemetery. A luncheon will follow downstairs in the Church hall.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge St., Manchester, 03104.

Still remember many great times with this wonderful man. My son's Godfather and one of my best friend's. Paul was strongly committed to his family and faith. We are so very sorry for the loss you are experiencing. Watching Paul interact with the grandchildren was always so heartwarming. He was a man with so much love in his heart.
We wish we could be there to hug you all right now, but in spite of lots of effort, a last-minute direct flight just wasn't available. However, we will hold you in our thoughts and prayers.
