Dear Laurette, Ed and I were shocked to hear of Emile's passing. It was great to spend some time talking with you both when we bumped into you at Market Basket. My only regret is we did not connect after that meeting. Emile is home with the Lord, now and our love and sympathy goes out to you and your family.

I met Emile when I was the Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Manchester (2003-2013). He reached out to me and told me as the founding Board President of BBBSGM he would be happy to help the agency in anyway he could. He quickly became not only a mentor to me but a dear dear friend. Emile attended almost every Big Brothers event throughout my tenure. Emile was an example to those around him as a man who truly lived his life with integrity, honest, and love. His smile could light up a room and brought much peace to those around him. My grandparents passed away years before I met Emile and I was blessed to have him in my life as a grand dad figure. His faith in God was unshakable and through some struggles he remained steadfast that his God was good and His God will come through. My heart is saddened by his passing but I KNOW that he is dancing in heaven now with our Heavenly Father. Much love to all his family as they morn the loss of such a great man. Until I see you again.

January 5, 2017

In 1982 we were graced by the visit of 104 Germans who were to tour the northeastern part of our country.
Mayor Beaulieu graciously provided a warm welcome to the city of Manchester and the state of New Hampshire to these folks, most of whom had never been in this country before. In his remarks he mentioned the sister city arrangement he had established with Neustadt, Germany.
His warmth and friendliness provided a great beginning to their visit.

We will miss his pleasant and kind ways.

Emile D. Beaulieu was very devoted to interchange between the youth of Tawain (China) and Neustadt an der Weinstrasse (Manchester's partber city where he played an enormous role) in Germany. I shall always remember him for his dediction to trying to make this world a better place to live in, accepting each and every nation as a friend. Such men are scarce; therefore, he will be sorely missed. To you, my dear Laurette, my deepest thanks for standing by my cherished in his last hours. He often told me he didn't know what he would have done without you guiding and caring for him. May he now rest in peace and in the minds of all who love mankind.
