FAIRBURN, GA. - Mr. Roger Allen Wert of Griffin passed away on January 25, 2017. Mr. Wert was a retired Captain with Delta Air Lines and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Wert was the son of the late Herbert Lee and Mary Mable Wert. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nitale Pence Wert; daughter, Kristin Wert Habowski of Williamson, GA; son, Gary Alan Wert and his wife, Kathy of Cumming, GA; grandson, Logan Alan Wert of Cumming. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Peachtree City Christian Church with Dr. George Dillard officiating. Interment services will follow at Georgia National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Those wishing may send an online condolence at www.parrottfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Peachtree City Christian Church for Guatemalan Relief Project, 500 Kedron Drive, Peachtree City, GA 30269. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Peachtree City Christian Church in Peachtree City, GA. PARROTT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 770-964-4800.
