MECHANICSBURG – Robert L. "Bob" Travis, 64 of Mechanicsburg, passed away, Monday, April 14, 2014 in Springfield Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 6, 1950 in Wilbur, KY and served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Germany until 1973. Bob was employed for several years with Hobart in Troy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling.
Bob is survived by his son, Sean; his brothers and sisters, Bert (Frances), Minnie (Allen), Ginny (Larry), Nancy (Keith), Junior (Audrey), Bill (Kathy), Don (Judy), Dan (Tracey), Lola (Doug), Patty (Ken), Karen, Margaret (Rick), Teresa (John), Dorothy and Rosie (Eric); as well as numerous nieces and nephews of several generations.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy B. and Mildred (Moore) Travis, his son, Robert Lee Travis, his siblings, Debbie, Gwendolyn, Loren and Freddie.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2014 in the Evergreen Cemetery, St. Paris with Keith Pack officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Pearce-Kerns American Legion Post #120. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Travis, Christopher Sparks, Rick Lewis, Harold Farmer, Kenneth George, and Michael VanHoose. Services are entrusted to SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg.
