MECHANICSBURG – Ruth Ann Lippencott, 83 of Mechanicsburg, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, in the Gables at Green Pastures, Marysville.

She was born February 11, 1931, in Mechanicsburg, Ohio. Ruth Ann was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. She worked in the past at Hills Gift Shop in Mechanicsburg and retired from Ohio Grain/Champaign Landmark as a bookkeeper after 30+ years of service. She was a member of the Caroline Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Mechanicsburg, and the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and reading and was an avid Ohio State University sports fan and fast pitch softball.

Ruth Ann is survived by her children, Janet (Larry) Boggs of Grove City and Mark (Sue) Lippencott of Marysville, her grandchildren, Gregory (Julie) Boggs of Powell, Mitch Lippencott of Marysville and Courtney (Ryan) Butler of Marysville, her great-grandchildren, Drew and Mitchell Boggs, and numerous nieces and nephews of several generations.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Laura (Gordon) Pratt, her husband, Marion Lippencott, and her sister, Delphine Topps.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, in the SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Mechanicsburg, where Eastern Star will be held at 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2014, in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Harley Roston officiating.

Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
