MECHANICSBURG – Norma Jean Harrington, 78, of Mechanicsburg, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 15, 2014, in her home surrounded by her family.

She was born February 29, 1936, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Herman and Maxine (Frances) Blakeman.

She is survived by her sons, Eugene (Brenda) Harrington, Kenneth Lee (Tammy) Harrington; daughter, Vickie (Michael) Royster; special granddaughter, Jessie (Joe) Osborne; grandkids, Thomas, Amy, Raymond, Jodi, Dusti, Mistie, Chris, Patty, Michelle, Lisa; 32 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Lee (Helen) Blakeman; sister-in-law, Grace Blakeman; numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pastor Norman E. Harrington; brother, Herman Jr. Blakeman; sisters, Ruth Ann Moore, Joanna (Richard) Colwell; great-grandchildren, Haven Faith Jones, Makinsey Jade and Blynk Douglas Powell.

A gathering of family and friends will be held noon-2 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014, in the New Life Christian Ministries, 11160 Rosedale Road, Mechanicsburg, OH 43044, with funeral services following at 2 p.m. with Pastor William Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Ministries Church. Services are entrusted to SKILLMAN, MCDONALD, VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Mechanicsburg.
