WEST LIBERTY – Otis D. "Brownie" Brown Jr., 71, of Westville, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014, in his residence. He was born December 3, 1942, in Urbana to the late Otis and Edith (Blosser) Brown Sr. Otis was an avid fan of horse racing and eventually retired from the sport. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He also cared deeply for his dogs Neutin and Elmo and cat Trooper. He married Carol J. Brumfield November 24, 1989. Survivors include his wife; daughters Connie (Jim) Francis, Donna (Jim) Holbrook, Deloras Karus and (Joseph Mills) Loretta (Mike) Stroud; sons LeRoy (Brenda) Brown, Terry (Karen) Brown, and Timothy (Christina) Brown; step-children Cheryll (Vall Alley) Brumfield, Craig (Suzann) Brumfield and Curt Brumfield; sister Joyce (Jim) Jackson; 24 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren; his former wife Ruby; several nieces and nephews; his lifetime friend Wally Stickley. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at JENNINGS FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 5591 US Rt 68 South, West Liberty, Ohio, where friends may gather from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
