Coach was a great man and motivator. I was happy to be a part of his football program at Urbana University in 1985. I also had opportunities to meet with him at Franklin County Detention Center as well at High School games when we ran into each other and he would just talk about the guys and the good times. He leaves a great legacy. Thanks DeCola family for sharing him with us!
Thanks for the Vision COACH!!

Dear DeCola family, Our hearts are broken with the news of Coach DeCola's passing. I worked for him at the Johnstown Pool and cheered for the teams he lead to victory. Steve played football for him for four years and loved every moment. He even trusted me to babysit for you boys. He is remembered fondly in our home. He will be missed. Sincerely, Steve and Julie (Van Fossen) Atwood and family
