Laramie Sr., James F.  
James F. Laramie, Sr. UTICA James F. Laramie, Sr. , 81, of Utica, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, with his family by his side. Jim was born on June 2, 1933, in Utica, the son of Mitchell and Ruth (York) Laramie. He was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and MVCC. Jim was a US Army veteran serving from 1953-1955. On August 25, 1956, Jim married the love of his life, Juliet M. Primarolo in Blessed Sacrament Church. They enjoyed a happy union of nearly 48 years prior to her death in 2004. Jim and Juliet's souls are reunited and his broken heart is now whole. Over the span of Jim's career, he worked for New York Central, Bossert Manufacturing and Partlow Corporation. He was a communicant of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes where he served as a past president of the parish council. Jim was an avid golfer and very talented artist. He had a passion for painting that he shared with his Tuesday group at Kirkland Art Center and on Wednesday with a special group of friends. Surviving are his beloved children, Michele (Thomas) Murphy, Utica, Kathleen (Walter) Matthews, East Syracuse, Carolyn (Richard Ulinski) Laramie, Whitesboro, Cynthia (Carmine) Amarosa, Utica, James (Harleen) Laramie, Glenmont, and Julianne (Curt) Nordstrom, New Hartford; 15 adored grandchildren, Emily (Jason) Lojewski, Rachel and Brendan Murphy, Sara (Greg) Crandell, Laura Matthews (Tommy Klim), James (Karina) Hulser, Justin (Rebecca) Hulser, Krista (Brandon) Holtslag and Samantha Amarosa (Mike Warne), James, III, Joshua and Jessica Laramie, Kyle, Zachary and Jacob Nordstrom; and two great-grandchildren, Ryan Hulser and Madison Holtslag. Also surviving are his sisters, Dorothy Johnson, New Hartford, and Mary Ann (Richard) Rogers, Sherrill; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Tom Szatko, Penfield; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim was predeceased by his brothers, William and Robert (Ernestine) Laramie. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday, 4-7 p.m., at Nunn & McGrath Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica. Funeral services will be Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Edward E. Lorenz WHITESBORO Edward E. Lorenz , 81, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Homes, 40 Main St., Whitesboro, and at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro. Calling hours will be 9:30 until time of services. The William E. Burke Utica Council #189 Knight of Columbus will have a service at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at St. Stanislaus and Casimir Cemetery with Military Honors. Leonis, Ronald C.  
Mr. Ronald C. Leonis FRANKFORT Mr. Ronald C. Leonis , 76, of First Ave., passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014, in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, with his loving family by his side. Ron was born in Frankfort on August 27, 1938, the son of the late Samuel and Evelyn Price Leonis, and he attended Ilion Central High School, graduating with the class of 1956. He was married to Peggy LaMondie on July 2, 1959, in Annunciation Church, Ilion. He proudly served in the US Navy aboard the USS Norris DDE 859 in Norfolk, VA, from 1956 until his Honorable Discharge in 1959. Following his Military service, Ron was employed with Univac for 18 years until their closing. He then was employed with the Village of Frankfort as a Budget Officer and Account Clerk for the Water Superintendent until his retirement in 2000. Following his retirement, he worked as a consultant for both the Villages of Frankfort and Ilion. He was a member of the American Legion Post #845, Frankfort, where he was a member of their bowling league. Ron was a Frankfort Pop Warner and Little League Coach for many years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and bowling and was an avid fan of the NY Yankees, the NY Giants and Boston Celtics. Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy; one daughter and son-in-law, Saundra and Greg Macidyn, of Syracuse; one son, Ronald Leonis, II, of Whitesboro; his beloved granddaughter and pride and joy, Alyssa Macidyn; two sisters, Eva Tripple, of Mohawk, and Marie Leonis; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Samuel Leonis, Jr., and his wife, Carol, of Ilion, and Gary Leonis, of Mohawk; his in-laws, Karl LaMondie, of Frankfort, Arthur Daz, of Ilion, and Cynthia Leonis, of Georgia; his close cousins, Sally and Francis Manno, of Ilion; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Frank Leonis, Thomas Leonis and Paul Leonis, and one sister, Evelyn Daz. Ron's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the doctors and nurses of St. Elizabeth's ICU and Special Care Unit for the special care and comfort shown to him during his illness and passing. Licht, Katherine M.  
Katherine M. Licht SMYRNA Katherine (Kathy) M. Licht, 48, of East Main St., died Friday, December 5, 2014, at home, with her longtime companion, Craig Carpenter, by her side. She was born November 28, 1966, in Oxnard, CA, the only child of Christopher A. and Kay E. Connelly Licht, a Navy family, who called several states "home" during her early years. Kathy worked as a server for restaurants in New Mexico and locally for Pizza Hut in Norwich and McDonalds in Hamilton. She enjoyed Pogo online gaming and loved lighthouses, Tweety Bird and the Grinch. She is survived by her mother, Kay, of IL; her father, Chris, of IL; grandmother, Odeis Speight; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Jason Potts, of IA; granddaughters, Kira Rose and Brooklyn, of IA; Craig's father, Arnold Carpenter, of Smyrna; and Craig's daughter, Ashley Lawson, of MD. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, April. Services were held Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville.
