Albert R. Kauses, age 69, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Albert was born in Utica, New York.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia K. Roberts; his father, Albert V. Kauses; stepfather, David L. Roberts and his daughter, Kaye Braun; stepdaughter, Heidi Morris
He is survived by his wife Nancy Kauses; his daughters, Vicki Kallenburg and Barbie Holloway; sisters, Cheryl Roberts Mulhall, Susan Doxie and Kimberly Roberts; stepdaughter, Regina McKenna, and stepson, Danny Retassie; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues. Al also leaves behind his beloved Muffin and Skipper.
Al had an extraordinary career in the Airborne Communications with the US Air Force from 1963 to 1993. He was awarded five bronze stars, a humanitarian award and many accomplishments while serving many years in Vietnam and Operation Desert Storm. Al served as Communications Specialist on Air Force One and Air Force Two and once retired spent 10 years with Florida Highway State Patrol. Al was also the proud chairman of the Florida Panhandle Patriots Tea Party and Vice President of the Okaloosa Republican Party.
