Mr. Richard K. Dibble, 88, of Clinton, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at his home. Richard was born February 27, 1925, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Archie and Alice (Morud) Dibble. He was raised and educated in Minneapolis and was a graduate of the University of Minnesota. Richard honorably served in the US Navy during WW II. On April 13, 1950, Richard married Gladys R. Johnson. At one time, he was the owner of Rayco Automotive in Indiana and more recently was a financial analyst with General Electric Company. He was a member of American Legion Helmuth-Ingalls Post 232 in Franklin Springs and was of the Anglican Catholic faith. Richard enjoyed cutting firewood for himself as well as family and friends, working with his sons in their contracting business, and was quit savvy with a computer and the internet. Mr. Dibble is survived by his beloved wife, Gladys; four sons and daughters-in-law, David and Ellen Dibble, of Tempe, AZ, Kenneth and Maria Dibble, of Conklin, NY, Fr. Dwight and Patricia Dibble, of Clinton, and Fr. Richard and Caroline Dibble, of West Winfield. He was also the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren, Clare, Andrew, Brett, Jessica, Alyssa, Emily, Abraham, Joseph, Elijah, Ruth and Uriah, and two great-grandchildren, Spencer and Megan. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Mr. Dibble's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of Hospice and Palliative Care, the nursing staff at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, as well as the nurses and staff of the Lutheran Home for the wonderful care and compassion given to Richard. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., Clinton.
