Vincent Anthony Ciccone passed away at his home in San Diego on October 14, 2013, at the age of 93. He is survived by Victoria, his loving wife of 70 years. He is remembered by his daughter, Sandra Wagner and her husband, Steven; his son, David Ciccone and his wife, Karen; grandchildren, Maressa Ciccone, Gregory Wagner, David Wagner and his wife, Maria, Michael Wagner and his wife, Rebecca; and sister-in-law, Eva Rico. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews and a circle of close friends. Vincent was born in Utica, NY, in 1920. He graduated from Proctor High School and served in the Army from 1942-46 as a Warrant Officer with the 713th Flame Thrower Battalion, which took part in the invasion of Okinawa. He earned an Associate Degree in Business from NY State Institute of Technology (MVCC). In Utica, he worked in merchandising at The Boston Store, JB Wells and UTK Distributing Co., and after moving to San Diego in 1978, he worked at FedMart and Johnson & Johnson, retiring at age 84. He enjoyed his work, but above all else his family was the greatest joy of his life. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother-in-law. A memorial service will be held at Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala on October 28, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. A private interment will be in El Camino Memorial Park.
