Patricia L. Taylor 1944 - 2018
Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister & Aunt
UTICA – Patricia L. Morgan Taylor, 74, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare.
She was born on April 16, 1944, in Utica, the daughter of Edward and Natalie (O'Connor) Morgan. Patricia was a graduate of New Hartford High School and St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. She was an insurance underwriter at Utica National Insurance for 30 years, retiring in 2005.
Patricia was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was on the RCIA team. Patricia served with the Faith Formation group where she was notable as "The Cookie Lady." She was a proud Irish woman, belonging to the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. Patricia enjoyed spending time and volunteering at the Great American Irish Festival.
She is survived by her children, Katherine (John) Ruszala, Frankfort and Lynn (Clifford, III) Force, New Hartford; six adored grandchildren, Hanna, Ethan, Benjamin, and Zoe Ruszala and Clifford IV and Lily Force; sister, Dolores Owens, New Hartford; nieces and nephews, Michaela, Mike, Pat, Terry and especially Bob and Karla, as well as, several great nieces and great nephews and cousins. Patricia also leave behind her good friend, Diane Hart. She was predeceased by her sister, Jane Donlon.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica. Funeral services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home and 10 a.m. at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton.
Remembrances in Patricia's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
