He was born in Herkimer on July 12, 1918, the son of the late Patrick and Fanny Gallo Longe and he attended Herkimer schools, graduating from Herkimer High School with the class of 1935. He went on to receive his Pre-Law education at the University of Detroit and Michigan State University. Fran and Kay were blessed with a nearly 60-year romance. They were the embodiment of a loving couple; deferential partners, devoted companions and dearest friends.
