Albert Hoke, Sr.
Sherburne - Zephyrhills
Albert Hoke, Sr., 74, of Sherburne, NY, and Zephyrhills, FL, passed away on February 16, 2013, in Zephyrhills, FL, at Gulfside Hospice, with his family by his side. He was born on January 5, 1939. In 1956, he graduated from Sherburne High School and shortly after joined the US Marine Corps. He was a truck driver for many years to follow. Some of his memberships included the American Legion of Sherburne, and he was a former commander. He was also in the Coast Guard Anx and Law Enforcement. He was predeceased by his parents, Flo and Less Dunn; foster parents, Emery and Mable Brown; grandson, Michael Bikowski; and sister, Wanda Dunn Robullard. Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Barbara Hoke; brother, Wayne Dunn; sister-in-law, Bonnie Dunn; five children, Albert Hoke, Jr., and his girlfriend, Jodi Evanciew-Babcock, Leslie (Eva) Hoke, John (Christine Ames) Hoke, Theresa Hoke and fiance, Tim Chan, and Rhonda Harris; 23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wishes, he was cremated. On Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the West Hill Cemetery on Route 80, Sherburne, NY, he will be buried and, following the ceremony, there will be a celebration of his life at his home.
