Alfred J. Moreau, Sr.
Boonville
Alfred J. Moreau, Sr., 88, of Boonville and formerly of Ilion, passed away peacefully, March 15, 2013, in the Sunset Nursing Home, Boonville, where he had been residing. He was born on October 7, 1924, in Ilion, the son of the late Azarias and Valerie Pellerin Moreau and attended Ilion High School. Al served in the United States Marine Corp during World War II until his honorable discharge on December 21, 1945. For many years, He worked in construction for various companies throughout the Mohawk Valley. Al was of the Catholic faith. He is survived by his son, Timothy Moreau, of Rome; his daughters and son-in-law, Amy Moreau, of Forestport, Carol Moreau, of Houston, TX, Barbara Moreau, of Utica and Kim and Wayne Bush, of Mt. Vernon, NY; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Al was predeceased by his siblings, Edward, Joseph, Emil, Russell, Charles, John, Francis, Hank and Rose. Als funeral will commence from the chapel of the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 with Deacon James Bower, officiating. Interment will be made in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Contributions, in Als memory, may be offer to the .
