Carole Brown
Carole Brown, 65, passed away on February 12, 2013, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare.
She was born in Utica on August 26, 1947, a daughter of the late Harold and Helen Komorek Wehrle. Carole was a graduate of New Hartford High School and the Utica School of Commerce.
On September 5, 1980, she was united in marriage with Steven Brown in St. John the Evangelist Church in New Hartford.
Carole was employed as Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer of the Presbyterian Homes and Services, having worked there for over 37 years.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick's-St. Anthony's Catholic Parish in Chadwicks.
Carole is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 32 years, Steven; three sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Jerri Wehrle, of Hampton, VA, and their son, Zachary; Jeremy and Haley Brown, of Lexington, SC, and their children, Haven and Jacob; and Jason and Jennifer Brown, of Lexington, SC, and their son, Jayden; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Rae and Art Burmaster, of Lake Placid, FL, and Sheila and Bob Twitchell, of Zephyrhills, FL; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron and Bev Wehrle, of New Hartford, Wayne and Bonnie Wehrle, of Waterville, Mike and Sharon Wehrle, of Sauquoit, and Harold and Kimberly Wehrle, of Frankfort; her step-mother, Jean Wehrle, of Frankfort; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Marilyn McCusker, in 1979; and her brother, Dennis Wehrle, in 2012.
A celebration of Carole's life will be held on Saturday, February 16, at 9:30 at St. Patrick's-St. Anthony's Catholic Parish in Chadwicks.
To honor Carole's wishes, there will be no calling hours.

Carole's family would like to extend their appreciation to the nurses, staff and physicians who cared for her at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare for the exceptional care she received from them all, with a special thanks to the staff of the 6th floor and Drs. Atul Butala and Bhisham Garg.
