Hilda Marie Ford, 87, formerly of Oriskany Falls, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012, at the Harding Nursing Home, Waterville. She was born on July 27, 1925, the daughter of the late Clarence and V. Ethelyn Clark Way. Hilda attended Madison Central School, graduating in 1943. On October 27, 1946, she and Arthur W. Ford were united in marriage and were blessed with 60 wonderful years. Hilda was a homemaker and worked side by side with her husband in raising beef and dairy cows on their small farm in Oriskany Falls. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing, and quilting. Her greatest passion in life was spending time with and providing for her family. Hilda is survived by five sons, Mark (Doreen) Ford, of Caroga Lake, Dale (Florence) Ford, of East Stroudsburg, PA, Dennis Ford, of Deansboro, Rev. Jack (Penny) Ford, of McGraw, and William Ford, of McGraw; 13 beloved grandchildren, Brian, Amy(William) Glowacki, Kori (Jeremy) Tetreault, Trevor, Travis (Jennifer), Greg, Kimberly, Kerri, Kelly, Jaclyn, Danielle, Jennifer (David) O'Sullivan, and Steven; four beloved great-grandchildren, Katherine and Patrick Ford, David O'Sullivan, and Trey Tetreault; a sister, Alice Budlong; a sister-in-law, Harriet Ford; also many nieces and nephews, including Judy Bennet of Oneida, who lived with the family for many years. Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her brothers, William, Harold and Everett; her sister, Gertrude Way; her sons, Roger Scott Ford and Rodney K. Ford; a daughter-in-law, Jean (Bednarz) Ford; and her great-grandchildren, Molly, Jacob, and Hannah Glowacki. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at 1:00 PM, at the Paul Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rebecca Parry, officiating. Burial will follow at the Madison Village Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 11:00AM till 1:00 PM, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 3592 South Street, Madison.
