Jeanette M. Blazek

Jeanette M. Blazek, 85, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2010, in the Masonic Home. She was born in Yorkville on February 7, 1925, a daughter of Anthony and Kunagunda Koszewski, and received her education in local schools. On April 10, 1948, Jeanette was united in marriage to Leonard Blazek in St. Marys Church, N.Y. Mills. The couple resided in Yorkville. Mr. Blazek passed away on December 14, 2000. Mrs. Blazek was employed by Utica Knitting and Citrus Fruit Juice Co. until her retirement. She was a member of St. Marys Church, N.Y. Mills. First and foremost in Jeanettes life was her love for her family. She will be dearly missed. Survivors include one daughter, Constance and her husband, Craig Cunningham, Michigan; one son, Thomas and his wife, Patricia Blazek, Idaho; four cherished grandchildren, Sherrie and her husband, Ryan Gallas, Kimberly and her husband, Matthew Smith, Laura Blazek and Gregory Blazek; one precious great-granddaughter, Emily Gallas; one sister, Sophie Baister, Whitesboro; and one brother, Henry Koszewski, Hawaii. Her funeral will be held Friday, June 4, 2010, at 9:15 a.m. from Wolanin Funeral Home, Inc., 266 Main St., New York Mills, and at 10:00 a.m. from Sacred Heart/St. Marys Church, N.Y. Mills. Burial in Sts. Stanislaus and Casimer Cemetery, Whitestown. Calling hours will be Thursday, June 3, 2010, from 6-8 p.m.
