Louis J. Mazurowski, 94, of Utica, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013, at St. Luke's Home, with his loving family by his side. Louis was born on June 9, 1918, in Utica, the son of the late John and Julianne (Wyzykowska) Mazurowski. He attended Utica schools. On October 20, 1945, he was joined in marriage to Frances Zientek who passed away in 1978. On September 7, 1985, Louis was married to June Maynard. They shared a loving marriage prior to her passing on May 22, 2007. Louis served in the U.S. Army during WW II in the 251st Signal Heavy Construction Company. He had been employed at International Heater and Frederich's Air Conditioning. Louis is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Julie Crandall, Utica, and JoAnn and Terry Gorton, Florida; grandchildren, Brian Crandall, Utica, and Lori Crandall-Blunt and her husband, Bill, New Hartford; great-grandchildren, Brian Crandall, II, Justin Linder and Regina Linder; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many stepchildren and step-grandchildren. Louis was predeceased by his daughter, Regina Canning; stepmother, Mary (Sebzda) Mazurowski; sisters, Jane Talarczyk, Gladys Critelli, Celia Peppenelli, Lottie Savicki and Stella Phillips; and brothers, John, Chester, Carl, Steve, Edwin, Gene and Matt Mazurowski. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday (today) from 4-7 p.m. at Myslinski Funeral Home, 470 French Road, Utica. Funeral services will be Thursday at 9:15 from the funeral home and 10:00 a.m. from St. Joseph St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
