Melissa Saville Collver, FNP-BC, 40, of New Hartford, passed away unexpectedly on May 24, 2013, at home. She was born January 8, 1973, in Utica, daughter of Art and Donna Mayton Saville. Melissa was a 1991 graduate of Sauquoit Valley High School. She was an outstanding athlete and excelled in soccer, basketball and softball. She leaves many memories and friends. She graduated from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1995 and furthered her education at SUNY Utica/Rome graduating with a Bachelors in Nursing in 2010 and a Masters in Nursing in the Family Practitioners program in 2012. Melissa was currently employed at Faxton-St. Lukes Healthcare Adirondack Community Physicians in North Utica. Her expertise and level of care were unsurpassed. Helping others was Melissas passion. She touched many lives. She was active in the New York State Nurses Association and the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State. On January 15, 2005 she was united in marriage to Jason Collver at Trinity United Methodist Church, Whitesboro, a blessed union of eight years. Melissa is survived by her husband, Jason, her daughter, Alicia, a student at Utica College, her son, Alex; her father and mother, Art and Donna Saville, of Sauquoit; her sister, Michelle Smith and her husband, Jon, of Cicero, NY; and a niece, Olivia and a nephew Clay. She also leaves behind her feline companions, Fluffy and Charlie and her faithful dog, Bosco. Missey you were more than a daughter, wife, mom, sister and aunt. You completed our family. Your knowledge, your skills and your ever giving love will always be in our hearts. Be at peace. We love you so very much Heaven now has a beautiful angel. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, New Hartford. Interment will be in Sauquoit Valley Cemetery. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 4-7 PM at the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 13 Oxford Rd. New Hartford. In memory of Melissa, donations may be made to the SUNY/IT Foundation, c/o Melissa Saville Collver Scholarship Fund, 100 Seymour Road, Utica, NY 13502.
