Theodore F. Greiner, 81, of State Route 12, died on July 17, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica. Mr. Greiner was born on July 4, 1931, in the Town of Russia, a son of the late George D. and Lottie (Sajdzikowski) Greiner. He graduated from Poland Central School in 1950. On June 14, 1952, Theodore was united in marriage with the former Marian Crouch at the Poland Baptist Church. He was a lifelong dairy farmer that retired from farming in 1991, and he was currently employed at the Neighborhood Center, Utica. Mr. Greiner was a member of the Park United Methodist Church, Newport, Lodge #455 F. & A.M., Lake Delta-Mappa-Salma Chapter #193 O.E.S., and current Patron of the Kuyahoora Chapter #145 O.E.S. Survivors besides his wife of 60 years, Marian, include three brothers, Reginald Greiner and George (Rosemary) Greiner, all of FL, and Daniel (Jean) Greiner, of Cold Brook; a sister, Barbara (Jerry) Cady, of Cold Brook; several nieces and nephews, including a special grand-nephew born on July 4, 2011, Jeremy; and his special pal, Snoopy; and 6 cats. Theodore was predeceased by two brothers, Ronald and Phil Greiner; two sisters, Shirley Lynch and Marilyn Vorce; and a sister-in-law, Doris Greiner. Funeral services will be held at the Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport, on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. David Heeden, Pastor of the Park United Methodist Church, and friend, Rev. Robert Wollaber, officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Poland. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Kuyahoora Chapter #145 O. E. S. will conduct their ritualistic service at the funeral home on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m., followed by Newport Lodge #455 F.& A.M. at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Neighborhood Center or the Park United Methodist Church.
