Mrs. Louise M. (Aceto) Yozzo, age 88, passed away on Good Friday, April 18, 2014, in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Utica on August 5, 1925, Louise was the daughter of the late Peter and Assunta "Susie" (LaValla) Aceto. She was raised and educated locally. On November 23, 1946, she married Joseph J. Yozzo with whom she shared 25 years prior to his passing on February 14, 1972. She was blessed with a second special relationship with her beloved companion, Gino Tribuzio. During her younger years, Louise worked at the General Electric Company and later held a position with the City of Utica as a secretary in the Assessor's Office, retiring after many years of service. Louise was blessed with a loving and devoted heart. Although she was a petite woman, she had a prodigious personality. She was always close at hand for her loved ones and dear friends, celebrating their special occasions and offering loving support during difficult times. She made great efforts to express her love through her warmth, wisdom, and willingness to help all who touched her life. But above all, the greatest grace of her life gleamed in the eyes of her children and grandchildren who honored and loved her. Louise loved to sew and craft handmade items, often sharing her unique creations with her loved ones. She was a communicant of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish. Louise is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Kenneth Williams of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Toni and Stefano Magro of Carthage, NY; her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph J., Jr., and Rosa Yozzo of Utica; her grandchildren, Kenneth Williams, Joseph and Lilliana Williams, Brianne Williams and fiance, Christopher Nasso, Salvatore and Amanda Magro, Stefania Magro-Blake and her fiance, Greg Peebles, Joseph Yozzo, Michael Yozzo, and Daniella Yozzo; and her great-grandchildren, Andrew Jacob Williams, Aubrey Jo Williams, Valerie Williams, Stefano Alessio Magro, Alessandra Mia Magro, Gina Sophea Blake, and Gabriella Cruz Blake; her sisters, Nancy Mancuso of FL, Rita Toncar of OH, Yolanda DeCrescenzo of FL, and Antoinette Fiore and Don Berube of NH; her brothers and sister-in-law, Michael and Donna Aceto of Herkimer and Peter Aceto of Deerfield; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins; sisters-in-law, Emily Murdock and Diane Aceto; and her canine companion, Nicky. She was predeceased by her brothers, John Aceto, Joseph L. Aceto, Sr., and Anthony S. Aceto; and her sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Charles Tritten. The family is grateful for the professionalism and friendship of Louise's personal physician, Dr. Mark Warfel; and the compassion and understanding of the staff of Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., which made it possible for Louise to be in the comfort of her home and family.
