Earl L. Myatt, Jr., and Mary M. Myatt, both 59, of 239 Summit Ave, Oneida, died Sunday, April 27, 2014, as a result of injuries received from a train collision, on Fox Rd., in the Town of Verona. Earl was born July 25, 1954, in Oneida, the Son of Earl L. and Esther Ruby Myatt Sr. Mary was born June 4, 1954, on Oneida, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Myles Bellinger. Earl and Mary were united in marriage on February 4, 1972. Earl had been employed as the Text Book Manager for Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica. Mary had been employed as the Manager of the bookstore of the Mohawk Valley Community College in Rome. She was previously employed as a teacher's aide at North Broad Street School. She had also been an office receptionist at the Oneida Surgical Group. Mary was known as a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. They are survived by two sons, Brian Myatt, of Oneida and Bradford and Kristin Myatt, of Oneida; four grandchildren, Daniel, Hannah-Kate, Molly, and Tessa. Earl was also survived by a half-brother, George Myatt, of Syracuse; three sisters, Mary Munday, Amy Myatt, and Ruby Kitchen, all of Auburn, Alabama. Mary is also survived by one sister, Linda and Frank D'Onofrio, of Oneida. They were predeceased by a daughter Karen in 1975. Earl had been an avid golfer. Friends are invited and may call on Sunday,May 4, 2014, from 2 PM to 6 PM at the Coolican-McSweeney Funeral Home, 322Washington Ave., Oneida. Interment will be private.
