Patricia Jean (Huggins) Owen passed away on August 10, 2015, at the Siegenthaler Hospice Center, two days shy of her 85th birthday. Pat was born August 12, 1930, in Waterville, to Wayne and Hazel Huggins. Her family moved to Kentucky, where she spent her early childhood, later returning to Waterville. On October 10, 1948, she married Edwin Owen from Oriskany Falls. They celebrated 65 years of marriage prior to his death on July 23, 2013. In addition to raising five children, Pat held various jobs over the years, including working at Hamilton Hospital, Colgate University and Marquart Mfg. in Bouckville. Pat participated in various organizations, including the Home Bureau, TOPS, Red Hat Society (Mad Hatters), Daughters of the American Revolution and the Oriskany Falls Historical Society. In addition, she enjoyed going on bus trips, working with friends at the Augusta Church suppers and exercising with "the group" at the Colgate Pool. She is survived by five children, Karen and Bob Schenk, of Jacksonville, FL, Doug and Chris Owen, of Ballston Lake, Shirley and Ed Hutchinson, of Sherrill, Mary Ellen and Harold Williams, of Freeville, and Bob and Jamie Owen, of Vernon; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. We would like to thank Dr. David Petrie and his wonderful staff, Dr. Thomas Coyle, Dr. Alberto DelPino, the staff at the Siegenthaler Center (Hospice) and the Oriskany Falls Ambulance Corps. In keeping with Pat's wishes, services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.
