Maria C. Delgado-Pich, 64, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2011, at Oneida Healthcare. She was born on August 26, 1946, in Salta, Argentina, the daughter of Ernesto and Blanca Rocco Delgado. She was a graduate of the Universidad Nacional de Cardoba Medical School in Argentina. On April 8, 1994, Maria was united in marriage to John E. Pich in Rome. Maria had her own private practice for many years in Argentina. She was previously employed by Colgate University and most recently, worked as a medical interpreter for the Refugee Center in Utica. She was a member of Transfiguration Church. Surviving besides her loving husband of seventeen years, John; are a daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Carolina and Alfredo Zurro, of Cordoba, Argentina; two sons and daughters-in-law, Matias and Florencia Bergoglio, and Mariano and Marriela Bergoglio, all of Cordoba, Argentina; a sister and brother-in-law, Mirta and Dr. Joseph Bearman, of Fayetteville, NY; nine grandchildren; and three nephews, Dr. Gonzalo Bearman, of Richmond, VA, Alex Bearman, and Camillo and Lisa Bearman, of Alexandria, VA. Maria is also survived by Thomas and Jeanine Pich, John Pich, Jr., all of Rome, Judith Pich, of Boston, MA; and her father-in-law, Theodore Pich, of Rome. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2011, at Transfiguration Church at 3:00 PM where the Rev. Lucian Urbaniak will officiate. There are no calling hours.
