Delores Ann Peppenelli, age 73, of Utica, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2012, at the St. Luke's Home from a lengthy illness. Born in Utica, New York, on April 2, 1939, Delores was the daughter of the late James A. and Marie Antoinette (DeFazio) Peppenelli. She attended T.R. Proctor High School. Delores was a homemaker to her family and the primary caregiver to her mother. Delores is survived by her sisters and brother-in-law, Marie and John Greco, and Dorothy and Donna Peppenelli, all of Utica; "Our Children", Tony, Linda and Antoinette Peppenelli, Diane Hoffmann (and husband Russell), Margo Pascarelli (and husband Richard), and Steven and Shelly Peppenelli; and a special friend, Don Sansone. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, Phyllis Ann, Michael and Kim Peppenelli of Marcy, John Greco of TN and his companion, Karen Knapp, and Charlene ONeil; and great-nieces and great-nephews. Special consideration is given to: Jenna & Morgan Peppenelli, and Christina & Krysta ONeil, and her "JJ" Greco; "Our grandchildren", Sabina Velic and her companion, David Grounds, and Ervina and Ermin Covic; and her sisters-in-law, Jean-Marie and Sandy Peppenelli. Also left to mourn her passing are her aunts, Rosie Puleo of Rome and Gloria Pandolfo; and her lifetime friends, Mary Jane Lathwood, Joan Boucher and Maryann Nicolette. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Ilse, Philip, James "Mousey" and Mary, Anthony, and Joseph Peppenelli; her nephews, James Greco, Sr., Philip J. Peppenelli and David Peppenelli; her great-niece, Shannon Lynn Peppenelli; and her many aunts and uncles. She also leaves her beloved canine companion, Heidi. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Rehab Unit nurses and aides of St. Luke's Home for their compassion and care given to Delores for her stay. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, September 22nd, from 12-1 at the EannaceFuneral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. By family request, please omit floral offerings. Delores' Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will commence immediately following at 1:00 with Fr. James Cesta officiating.
