Jeanette T. Hillyer|
Jeanette T. Hillyer died on August 11, 2013.
She was born on June 22, 1931, to Jerome and Bernice (White) Majerus in Chicago, IL. She grew up on the family farm in Plainview, MN, and graduated from Plainview High School. She later attended nursing school in Chicago. On October 23, 1960, she married Charles (Fran) Hillyer at the Hess Home in Forestport, NY. Mr. Hillyer passed away on September 1, 1986. She raised three children and for many years was an engaging waitress at the Buffalo Head Hotel, primarily during the ownership of her dear friend, Howard Parsons. After her retirement from the Buffalo Head, she traveled through the states with her husband, visiting friends and family, after which they returned home to their beloved CNY. Her next career was back to what she did best, taking care of others. She worked for many years as a CNA at the Sunset Nursing Home ("C" side) in Boonville, NY. She was a warm, caring person who will be sorely missed by many.
