Obituary Condolences

Anthony S.
Mr. Anthony S. "Tony" Carbone, age 58, passed away after his valiant battle with Cancer on Saturday, October 26, 2013, in the comfort and privacy of his home, with his loving family by his side. Born in Utica on November 13, 1954, Anthony was the son of Marie D. (DeBernardis) Carbone, and the late John N. Carbone, Jr. Raised and educated locally, he was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School/Class of 1973. Tony proudly served his country as a United States Air Force veteran. On October 22, 1976, he wed the former Christine M. Charles; their life together reflected their devotion over 37 years of marriage. Following the return from his military responsibilities, he furthered his education and received his journeyman's license as an electrician. Tony was under the employ of the former Daimler-Chrysler Orion Bus Industries where he worked as an electrician. At home, Tony was loving, devoted and committed to his family, and he shared a special and unending love with his wife. His family will remember his unique story-telling style, the sparkle of his blue eyes, and his smile. He had a dry wit humor and an easy way of making people comfortable. He enjoyed the comforts of his home where he loved the time spent with his family. He also found time to tinker with various domestic projects. Throughout his health obstacles, Tony remained steadfast and strong. He was an avid Buffalo Bills football fan, and he looked forward to family trips to Buffalo to see the Bills play at their stadium in Orchard Park. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church. Tony is survived by his wife, Christine; his mother, Marie Carbone; his daughters and their spouses, (twin daughters) Valerie and Marcus Worden, and Vanessa and Mike Tubia; Nicole Carbone, Toni "Toni Baby" Carbone and Adam Krzyzanowski, Mary and Trevor Holden (although Mary is related as a sister-in-law, Tony loved and raised her as his own daughter), and Patty who referred to him as "Hercules"; his grandchildren, Hunter, Quinn, and Gavin Worden, Gabriella Worden who was born on Tony's wedding anniversary, Anthony, Michael, Jr., and John Tubia, Marisa, Angel, and Trevor Holden. In addition, he leaves his sisters and brother-in-law, Delores and David Wojcik, and Christine Carbone; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas Carbone, Michael and Michele Carbone, John and Jackie Carbone, and Paul Carbone; many nieces and nephews, especially acknowledging Michael Carbone and his godchild, Karen Phillips; great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, with special mention of Aunt Ruth Platt; in-laws; and many special friends, including his longtime friends, George "Buddy" and Rebecca Joslin, and Gene and Cyndi Whipple. He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Camille; his brother-in-law, Bobby, who Tony loved and raised; and his in-laws, Robert and Barbara Charles. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. By family request, please omit flowers. Anthony's funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Thursday morning at 9:00 from the funeral home and at 10:00 at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church where his Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. James Cesta. Interment will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Online tributes at: www.EannaceFuneralHome.com
