Sonia & Family - we loved Joe from the day we met him and thoroughly enjoyed all your visits to Florida with Aunt Marcelle and Uncle George. Wish we coulld have spent even more time together over the years. Joe was a sweet, intelligent, handsome, funny and loving person, and touched many lives in his years on Earth. Now he will watch over your family and many more as an Angel of God. We pray that the pain of your loss will be replaced by all the wonderful and happy memories you made together. Dear Sonia and Family. We will keep you and your family in our daily thoughts and prayers. Joe was one of the nicest, sweetest persons one could know. Even though we only knew him for a short while, his kindness and his willingness to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it will never be forgotten. We are here for you whenever you need us.

Joe - you left a cadre of contract professionals in DoD and elsewhere who owe a debt of gratitude for all you taught us. You are the "Johnny Appleseed" of a whole generation of 1102 series Navy CO's who carry on the legacy you helped create. "Fair winds and following seas". God Bless. Todd Frye

Sonia and family, we wish we could of been closer during this very difficult time, our prayer now is that our God would give the family rest and consolation as only He can. We love you all, as the Bible says in Matthew 11:28... Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest, Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." God bless your precious family, we love you all and share in your loss.

I'll never forget Joe. My childhood is swamped with happy memories of time spent with the Bolos' family led by Joe. We visited many times and his amazing selfless hospitality, along with Sonia and the children, always made me feel as if I was in my own home. He is a great and selfless man, a great family man, and a wonderful friend. We visited many sights together and celebrated many family events together. We spent GREAT times together in Utica, Brooklyn, North Carolina, and of course in Virginia. My warmest and deepest condolences go out to all of the Bolos family. I love you all Bolos Family.
