Gloria I. Kershaw, 87, of New Hartford, died February 3, 2015, at the Presbyterian Home with the love and support of her family. She was born July 30, 1927, in Kingston, NY, daughter of the late William and Louise Leet Stork. She graduated from Kingston High School in 1944 and received her nursing education at Flower 5th Ave. Hospital in New York City. Gloria was married to the love of her life, Charles F. Kershaw, in 1947 in Newtown, CT. He was a devoted husband, and they shared 68 years together. She worked as a nurse for Dr. Robert Cross and Dr. William Krause for a number of years. Gloria was of the Lutheran faith. She loved bridge, gardening and golfing, was a member of the Yahnundasis and Skenandoa Golf Clubs, and also belonged to several garden clubs. Her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren. Gloria is survived by her beloved husband, Charles; her children, Sue Fish and husband, Larry, of New Hartford, Jeffrey Kershaw and wife, Eileen, of Naples, FL, Michael Kershaw, of New Hartford, and Patricia Kershaw, of New Hartford; her grandchildren, Raymond Ruszkowski, of Miami Beach, FL, Michelle Ruszkowski, of Miami Beach, FL, Matthew Kershaw, of Naples, FL, Kristy Jefferson, of Ridgefield, CT, Gregory Kershaw, of Miami Beach, FL, Lindsey Gluf, of New York City, and Joseph, Adam and Katie Toti, all of New Hartford; her great-grandchildren, Aaron Ruszkowski, Audree and Kaylee France, and Lilah and Quincy Jefferson; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Kim Savett Kershaw. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
