Raffelson, Marcelyn SAN DIEGO -- Marcelyn Patricia Raffelson, was born in Los Angeles on September 11, 1929, and lived her entire 84 years of life in San Diego. A tenacious lover of life, Marcy passed away peacefully on February 9, 2014, with her loving and adoring husband of 61 years, Marshall, at her side. She was the mother of Cheryl Berger and Michelle Silverman, and mother-in-law of Randall Berger and Scott Silverman. She was the devoted and proud grandma of Lindsey Berger-Garland (David), Heidi Berger, Andrew Berger, Jessica Silverman, and Gracie Silverman. Beloved sister of Irving Hosenpud (deceased), sister-in-law to Edythe Weinberg and Anita Hospenpud. She graduated from UCLA, where she met the love of her life, Marshall. They raised their daughters during the 51 years they lived in Point Loma, where they had a thriving real estate brokerage business. Special thanks to the dedicated, caring and incredible staff of the Vi at La Jolla Village. Services will be on Thursday, February 13th, at 10 a.m. at El Camino Cemetery at 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd., San Diego, CA 92121. Services directed by Am Israel Mortuary, 619-583-8850.

We played Pan for years. My husband Carl gave her allergy shots. We were close at one time.
I thought of her often and Marshall too!.
