MINANDO, MARY S. May 29, 1926 to Dec. 25, 2012 Wife, mother and homemaker, Mary Minando passed away peacefully in her sleep on Christmas Day, 2012, at 86 years of age. She was predeceased by her husband, the late William Minando, and her brother Joseph Scarcella. She is survived by her son Frank Minando (Gray) and daughter Mary Minando; her brothers Frank Scarcella (Amelia) and Thomas Scarcella (Josephine); her sister Vera Scarcella and sister-in-law Virginia Scarcella. Mary relished working in crafts, especially needlework and tole painting. She enjoyed outings with her husband Bill, visiting with friends, and dinner-dances with the Italian Club. Ever mindful of her appearance, Mary was proud that she still had all of her own teeth. The family wishes to thank the staff of Villa Bonita Senior Living for their dedicated attention to Mary for the past fourteen months. Services will be held at St. Martins of Tours Catholic Church in La Mesa, Funeral Mass on Friday, January 4th, at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Dear Frank,
I saw your Mom & Dad over the past several years, and they were always so pleasant and kind to me and my family. You were blessed to have your parents in your life, and now you are feeling the emptiness with their absence. I will keep you and your sister Mary in my thoughts and prayers.
